 We’ve got to learn to love

Here’s the only definition of love you’ll ever need:

“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins” (1 John 4:10, NLT).

Whatever else you may think of love, Christ’s sacrifice is pure, untainted, holy, perfect love. Love in its most true sense is all about the other person. And this is the beauty of love when it’s working rightly. You can spend your time looking out for the needs of someone else, confident that your brother or sister in Christ is looking out for you.

It’s the same with God; we don’t hold anything back because we know He will love us back and supply everything we need.
